Each year USAA creates a printed annual report. But nobody was reading it.
So in 2018, we created the first annual report in VR. A fully digital experience, we immersed users in contextually relevant scenes as text popups highlighted the year’s key stats and achievements. The experience was versioned into a traditional website with 360 images and a VR video experience that could be viewed via custom branded Google Cardboard.
As a result of this approach USAA had 3 Million video views, a 25% increase in engagement, 17,792,418 impressions via social campaign and 400,000 unique members visiting the site.
